Rajesh Khanna is termed as the first superstar of Bollywood. He had a massive fan following and girls were crazy for him. Khanna gave 15 consecutive solo hits in a span of four years. He used to be surrounded by girls for autographs in parties.
Actress Reena Roy revealed in a show that girls use to gather outside the superstar’s bunglow just to get a glimpse of the star. They use to run behind his car. Some even tried to commit suicide especially when the actor got married.
To keep things right and to avoid any risky situation for the fans as well as the actor a police station was built near the bungalow which would keep a vigil outside the bunglow and at the same time swing into action if crowd would gather and cause traffic problems.
No star has ever achieved such a type of fan following. He was literally worshipped by female fans.
