Deepika Padukone Becomes the New Voice of Meta AI and India’s First Mental Health Ambassador

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone continues to redefine stardom by stepping into two powerful and impactful roles—as the voice of Meta AI across six countries and as India’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador, appointed by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

🎙️ The New Voice of Meta AI

In a groundbreaking collaboration with Meta, Deepika Padukone has been unveiled as the official voice of Meta AI in India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. The announcement was made via her Instagram, where she shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself recording voice lines in a studio.

“Hi, I am Deepika Padukone. I am the new voice of Meta AI. So tap the ring and my voice will run out,” she says in the video, expressing her excitement for the collaboration.

Sharing her enthusiasm with followers, Deepika wrote:

“Okay, so this is pretty cool I think! I’m now part of Meta AI and you can chat with my voice in English across India, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.”

This move is part of Meta’s global initiative to personalise AI interactions by integrating familiar and influential voices into their technology, and Deepika now joins an elite group of global celebrities lending their voice to AI.

🧠 Appointed India’s First Mental Health Ambassador

On World Mental Health Day, Deepika Padukone was appointed as the first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW). The recognition is not only a personal milestone but also a national acknowledgment of her decade-long work in the field of mental health through her Live Love Laugh Foundation (TLLL).

“I am deeply honoured to be appointed as the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador,” she shared on Instagram.

Deepika also expressed her gratitude towards the Government of India, noting how under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has taken “meaningful steps to place mental health at the heart of public health.”

She added:

“Through my own journey and the work we’ve done at the @tlllfoundation over the past decade, I’ve seen how much is possible when we come together to build a mentally healthy India. I look forward to working under the guidance of Shri @jpnaddaofficial and the @mohfwindia to strengthen India’s mental health framework further.”

She accompanied the post with a photo from her meeting with Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Union Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava.

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone has officially started shooting for ‘King’, her sixth collaboration with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, following their blockbuster film ‘Jawan’. The film is already generating significant buzz, especially with Atlee’s last directorial success.
