Salman Khan is set to make a highly-anticipated return this Diwali with “Tiger 3.” After a six-year hiatus since the release of “Tiger Zinda Hai,” the actor’s iconic spy character is making a comeback to the big screen, accompanied by Zoya, played by Katrina Kaif.
Salman Khan initiated the countdown to “Tiger 3” by sharing a message with his fans titled “Tiger Ka Message.” In the message, Salman, portraying the character of Tiger, calls upon the nation to vouch for his patriotism and character after being labeled a “traitor” and “enemy no. 1” in a letter. He states, “After 20 years of service, I am requesting my character certificate from India. I want India to tell my son who his father was – a traitor or a patriot. If I’m alive, I’ll be at your service, otherwise, Jai Hind.”
The glimpse into “Tiger 3” also hints at the movie’s action-packed nature and confirms that the storyline will continue from the events of “Tiger Zinda Hai,” “War,” and “Pathaan.”
“Tiger 3” is the third installment in the original espionage franchise produced by Yash Raj Productions. The screenplay is believed to have been penned by Aditya Chopra, with Maneesh Sharma directing the film. Besides the much-anticipated reunion of Tiger and Zoya on the big screen, fans are eagerly awaiting the appearance of Shah Rukh Khan’s character from “Pathaan” in the movie, although the details of his cameo remain undisclosed.
Emraan Hashmi has reportedly been cast as the film’s antagonist, although he has not officially confirmed his role. The actor is expected to portray a formidable character in the movie.
The YRF Spy-verse commenced in 2012 with the Kabir Khan-directed film “Ek Tha Tiger” and was followed by “Tiger Zinda Hai” in 2017, “War” in 2019, and “Pathaan” in 2023, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. After “Tiger 3,” there are speculations that Salman Khan’s Tiger will collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan’s character for the sixth installment of the franchise, titled “Tiger Vs Pathaan.”
