Vijay Sethupathi surprised everyone with his entertaining film, Maharaja, which served as a ray of hope during the recent dry phase at the box office. The success of both versions has paved the way for the film’s digital release. Maharaja will be landing on the top digital streaming platform Netflix. Officials have confirmed that the film will be available on the platform starting July 12th, indicating that the film had a theatrical window agreement of one month with Netflix.
The film’s plot revolves around a barber who seeks vengeance after his home is burglarized, cryptically telling the police his “Lakshmi” has been taken, leaving them uncertain if it’s a person or object. His quest to recover the elusive “Lakshmi” unfolds, promising a thrilling storyline.
Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film also features Abhirami in a pivotal role. Maharaja‘s gripping plot and stellar performances have made it a must-watch, both in theaters and now on Netflix.
