The advance booking for the highly-anticipated film “Tiger 3,” featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi, has opened in India, and it’s off to a strong start. According to the latest reports, “Tiger 3” has outperformed in three national cinema chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – with a total of 1,02,474 tickets sold for the opening day, as of Wednesday at 9:30 am. In comparison, “Brahmastra” had sold 66,000 tickets three days after the advance bookings opened, and “Gadar 2” had sold 62,000 tickets.
This third installment of the “Tiger” franchise is the fifth outing in the YRF spy universe, following “Ek Tha Tiger,” “Tiger Zinda Hai,” “War,” and “Pathaan.” The sequel to Hrithik Roshan’s film is already in development, and Shah Rukh Khan is currently occupied with “Dunki,” so it will take some time before he returns to his spy role.
Produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, “Tiger 3” also features Ranvir Shorey, Kumud Mishra, Vishal Jethwa, and others in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on November 12 in IMAX, 4DX, and other premium formats.
