Mukri started his career in the film industry as a stage actor in the early 1940s. He made his film debut with the film “Pratima” in 1945.
Mukri was known for his impeccable comic timing and his ability to make people laugh with his humorous performances. He was often cast in comic roles in films.
In addition to acting, Mukri was also a writer and a director. He wrote the script for the film “Baap Re Baap” in 1955 and directed the film “Dal Mein Kala” in 1964.
Mukri was a close friend of the famous actor Dilip Kumar. They had worked together in several films, including “Madhumati,” “Gunga Jumna,” and “Ram Aur Shyam.”
