The upcoming film ‘Sanaa’, starring Radhika Madan, Soham Shah, Shikha Talsania, and Pooja Bhatt, has been selected for the official competition at the 23rd New York Indian Film Festival, which will be held from May 11 to 14. This festival is North America’s oldest and most prestigious film festival that showcases cinema from India and the Indian diaspora, celebrating cinema from the global Indian community.
Directed by National Award-winning director Sudhanshu Saria, the film tells the story of a 28-year-old woman, played by Radhika Madan, who is struggling with unresolved trauma. Director Sudhanshu Saria expressed his excitement and honor to have ‘Sanaa’ showcased alongside other diverse and compelling works at the festival.
Previously, ‘Sanaa’ was screened at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the 38th Santa Barbara International Film Festival. It will also be featured at the 25th UK Asia Film Festival as the Opening Film, which is scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 13, 2023.
