Taking to Instagram, the newlywed actor Katrina Kaif shared a ‘sweet’ glimpse of her ‘pehli rasoi’ as she prepared ‘halwa’ for her husband, Vicky Kaushal.
Pehli Rasoi is a traditional wedding ritual where the new bride cooks her first meal for her in-laws. It basically marks a sign of new beginning, acceptance, love between the in-laws and the new bride. The bride is usually made to cook a sweet dish because after all, it’s always good to begin a new journey on a sweet note, right?
For her pehli Rasoi Katrina made sheera, a sweet dish made out of semolina. Katrina took to Instagram to share a picture of the Sheera cooked by her and captioned it in Hindi saying, “Maine banaya. She also added the Punjabi translation of pehli rasoi by writing, “Chaunka Chardhana.”
Katrina and Vicky are currently in Vicky’s Andheri home with his family. However, later, they will be moving to their new Juhu apartment in the same building where Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli reside. The interior work has been going on in full swing. Anushka had even mentioned about the same while congratulating Katrina and Vicky on their wedding.
