Kangana Ranaut may not have had delivered hits with her last few films, but there is no stopping the Bollywood actress as she has already dived into her latest project as her director – Emergency.
Turns out Kangana has gone all out with her new film and has brought in Oscar and BAFTA winning make-up artist David Malinoswki to transform her into the iconic Indira Gandhi in the film.
David won the award for Film Makeup and Jair at the 2-18 BAFTA Awards and at the 90th Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for his work on the 2017 film Darkest Hour.
In a series of images, Kangana welcomed David to the team, writing, “Welcome to the team Emergency @djmalinowski,” adding, “Pleasure to have academy award winning artist for character transformation in Emergency.” She also shared am image of putting on prosthetics on her face and wrote, “Exciting transformation for my second directorial #Emergency”
According to Kangana, Emergency is ‘not the biopic of Indira Gandhi’. She had clarified in a statement that the film ‘is a political drama that will help the generation to understand the socio-political landscape of current India.’ Apart from Emergency, Kangana also has Tejas, Manikarnika sequel and Sita: The Incarnation in her kitty.
