On the work front, Deepika may have been missing from the silver screen for almost two years. But she is set to make a roaring comeback and she has four films in the pipeline, the first one being Chhapaak, which is releasing on next Friday. The film is loosely based on the life of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Aggarwal. Deepika has turned producer with this film and is currently busy in promoting it. Chhapaak is directed by Raazi and Talvar helmer Meghna Gulzar and also features Vikrant Massey in a key role.

Thereafter, she also has ’83, in which she will be seen playing Ranveer’s on-screen wife in ’83. While RS is essaying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, Deepika plays the role of Romi Dev. In Shakun Batra’s yet untitled film, she shares screen space with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday. She is producing Mahabharat, in which she also plays the character of Draupadi. The film will be made in multiple parts. The first part is set to hit the screens in Diwali 2021.
