Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan will be seen together in the upcoming Hindi film ‘Metro In Dino’, directed by Anurag Basu. The movie, which also features Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, and Neena Gupta, has received a new release date. Initially scheduled to release in December 2023, it will now hit theaters on March 29, 2024.
The production company behind the film, T-Series, announced the new release date on Twitter, stating that ‘Metro In Dino’ will have a Good Friday release. The film is described as an anthology of heartwarming stories of contemporary couples. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd. The music for the film will be composed by Pritam.
Anurag Basu and Pritam have previously collaborated on films such as ‘Gangster’, ‘Life in a Metro’, ‘Barfi!’, ‘Jagga Jasoos’, and ‘Ludo’. Anurag Basu expressed his excitement about the project, stating that ‘Metro In Dino’ is a tale of the people and for the people. He also mentioned his collaboration with Bhushan Kumar, who has been a pillar of support for him. Basu described the storyline as fresh and relevant and expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with talented artists who bring a contemporary aura to the film.
Anurag Basu further added that music plays a crucial role in the movie, and he is delighted to collaborate with Pritam once again, as his work brings life to the characters and story. The previous film in the series, ‘Life in a Metro’, featured Kangana Ranaut, Shiney Ahuja, Shilpa Shetty, Dharmendra, Irrfan Khan, and Kay Kay Menon in pivotal roles.
