Alia Bhatt has been receiving backlash for an advertisement that contradicts her personal beliefs. It is not a surprise to see her endorsing a multitude of products and services.
During the promotion of her film Kalank, Alia disclosed that she does not consume sugar on Kapil Sharma’s show. When the person who handed her her tea informed her that it had sugar, she declined the cup and proceeded to explain why sugar is bad for you.
Alia went on to say that if sugar is required, it should be consumed in the form of fruits. She mentions that she does not consume sugar herself. Frooti, Coca-Cola, Cornetto, Dark Fantasy Choco Fills, and Perk—all clearly not fruits—are items that she has endorsed at different points in time.
