As we awaited the release of the highly-anticipated trailer for Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj, all eyes were on him. Manushi Chhillar plays a key role in the film, and fans had been eagerly waiting for the teaser with bated breaths ever since the first look of the cast was released.
Akshay had previously stated that he said yes to the project the instant he received the script. He believed that the life of the warrior king, who fought heroically against Muhammad of Thor, deserved to be told on the big screen.
As the trailer launch event unfolded, Akshay Kumar talked about requesting the government for making Prithviraj compulsory to watch in schools and syllabuses as it’s an educational film.
Coming to the trailer, it showed Akshay Kumar playing the titular role. Manushi who is marking her debut with the movie is seen playing the role of his beloved Princess Sanyogita. The historical drama also features Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles of Chand Vardai and Kaka Kanha respectively. ‘Prithviraj’ is set to release on June 3 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on January 21 but got postponed due to the outbreak of Omicron in the country
