The teaser for the upcoming Tamil film “Thangalaan,” featuring the superstar Chiyaan Vikram and actress Malavika Mohanan, is set to be released on November 1, 2023. The announcement was made through an intriguing poster shared by the production house, Studio Green.
In their social media post, Studio Green captioned, “Even the darkest mines shall glimmer with a golden beacon of hope💫 Unveiling the #ThangalaanTeaser on 1st November 2023. The realm of #Thangalaan✨ will open its gates worldwide on 26th January 2024. #ThangalaanFromJan26.”
The film is described as a period drama set in the Kolar Gold Fields, focusing on the conflict over land between the indigenous people of the area and foreign forces.
Directed by Pa Ranjith, the movie also features prominent actors such as Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and others in pivotal roles, alongside Chiyaan Vikram and Malavika Mohanan.
The cinematography is handled by Kishor Kumar, with editing by Selva. “Thangalaan” is produced by Pa. Ranjith’s own production house, Neelam Productions, in association with Studio Green. The film is expected to hit the screens on January 26, 2024.
