Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is already creating new records at the box office in India.
According to early estimates, Pathaan has collected in the range of Rs. 53 to 55 crores on its opening day, thereby emerging not just the biggest non-holiday opener of all time, but also the biggest opener in the history of Hindi Cinema. The three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – have contributed approximately Rs. 26.50 crores, amounting to 50 percent of the total business. In Hindi, Pathaan collected approximately Rs. 50-52 crore, whereas Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions put in Rs. 3 crores taking the total collection in the range of Rs. 55 crores. The final collections could be higher or lower than the predicted range, depending on the numbers that come in from the single screens.
Pathaan might become the first film in the history of Hindi Cinema to score Rs. 100 crores in merely 2 days.
Pathaan will also be targeting an extended opening weekend of Rs. 200 crores and with this, it will also emerge as the first Hindi film to score a double century in a span of 5 days.
