3 Idiots wasn’t just a movie. It was like a behti hawa that taught us to deal with every situation with an “Aal Izz Well” spirit.” Now, after 13 years of the release of 3 Idiots, an alumnus from IIM Bangalore is making us nostalgic all over again by sharing pictures of the movie’s shooting locations.
If you didn’t know, a large part of 3 Idiots was filmed on the campus premises of IIM Bangalore. Steven Rathod has shared some stunning snaps from the campus that have merged the real and reel making our memories of the movie alive all over again.
In one of the pictures, Steven has shown the location where R. Madhavan a.k.a. Farhan from 3 Idiots was checking out the notice board. In another shot, we see the spot where Amir Khan, i.e, the favourite Rancho from the movie was taking bath. We also see the balcony where Joy Lobo, played by Ali Fazal, was sitting with his guitar. The pictures are indeed a mix of emotions and they are making us miss our college days too. In another snap, we also see the lane with Aamir by the kaali peeli cab.
The pictures are originally shot and shared by an IIM Bangalore alumnus. They compare memorable scenes from the film to the real life campus of the institute. “IIM Bangalore X 3 idiots series,” read the caption of the post. Reportedly, the photographer relate to the characters of the film, which inspired him to create the series.
