Play back Veteran South singer Sangeetha Sajith passes away-

South Indian playback singer, Sangeetha Sajith passed away in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday morning.

Sangeetha was undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments for quite some time and passed away at her sister’s residence. She was 46.

Sangeetha’s funeral will take place at the Shanthikavadam public crematorium in Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday evening.

Sangeetha Sajith has lent her voice in various genres of songs from Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu. She had sung the theme song of Prithviraj-starrer Kuruthi recently. In fact, the noted singer has sung over 200 songs in films from the south industries. Some of her popular songs include Thanneerai Kathalikkum from Mr. Romeo, which was composed by AR Rahman, Thalam Poyi Thappum Poyi from Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Alare Govinda from Kakkakuyil, Odathandil Thalam Kottum from Pazzhassi Raja and Dhum Dhum Dooreyetho from Rakkilipattu.

Sangeetha had sung Jnanapazhathe Pizhinth in front of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the Tamil Nadu Government Film Awards ceremony.
