The Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer Liger has been the talk of the btown since its first announcement. The upcoming sports drama film also marks the Bollywood debut of the American former professional boxer and actor Mike Tyson. According to the latest buzz, the OTT right to the highly anticipated movie has been acquired by Disney+ Hoststar.
According to a recent report on a movie portal the film has been sold to the OTT giant for a whopping amount of Rs 65 crore.
Produced under the banners named Dharma Productions and Puri Connects by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, the forthcoming venture has been helmed by Puri Jagannadh, who is also serving as one of the producers.
Liger, which also features Ramya Krishnan, Makarand Deshpande and Ronit Roy, is set to release on August 25 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages, which marks Vijay’s first pan-Indian film as well.
