Bollywood and Telugu actress Shreya Dhanwanthary have made a mark in the entertainment industry while working in many Telugu and Bollywood films and web series.It was the year 2019 she got a big break and she got Manoj Bajpayee starrer Amazon. She got a new identity with the role of Zoya in the Prime Video web series ‘The Family Man’. Later, Shreya won a lot of accolades for playing the character of journalist Sucheta Dalal in Sony Liv’s web series ‘Scam 1992’ (2020).
Born on 29 August 1988 in Hyderabad, Shreya Dhanwanthary is a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology Warangal. It was during her engineering studies that Shreya stepped into the modeling world. In the year 2008, Shreya participated in the ‘Femina Miss India South’ contest and was the first runner-up, after that Shreya also participated in ‘Miss India 2008’ as a finalist.
Soon after ‘Miss India 2008’, Shreya got offers from Telugu films like ‘Josh’ (2009) and ‘Sneha Geetham’ (2010). In the year 2012, Shreya also worked in a short film named ‘The Girl in Me’. In the year 2019, Shreya made her Bollywood debut in the Bollywood film ‘Why Cheat India’ opposite Emraan Hashmi. Shreya has also worked in the film ‘Loop Lapeta’.
Even after performing well in many films and web series, Shreya did not get much success, but Zoya’s character in the web series ‘The Family Man’ took Shreya to the heights of success.
Shreya was seen playing the role of Mansi in the Amazon Prime web series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ in 2021 after garnering much acclaim from the audience for her role as journalist Suchita Dalal in the web series ‘Scam: 1992’.
In 2020, Shreya Dhanwantri also ranked 43rd in the list of ‘Most Desirable Women’ by Times of India. Shreya has also endorsed many popular brands like Airtel, Pantaloons, Safi, Provogue, Vogue Eyewear, Geetanjal Maya Gold Jewellery, D’damus Jewellery, Jashn Sarees and Liberty Footwear. Apart from this, Shreya has also written a book named ‘Fade to White’.
