Early life and family
Samyuktha was born in Bangalore to a Christian mother and a Hindu Brahmin father. Her native village is Kelaginamane, located in the Uttara Kannada district.
Education
She attended St. Paul’s English School for her schooling. Despite enrolling in a BA psychology and journalism degree course at Jain University, Bangalore, she opted to discontinue her studies to focus on her passion for dancing and acting.
Career Growth
In 2016, Samyuktha Hegde made her mark as a parallel female lead in Rakshit Shetty’s comedy-drama “Kirik Party.” Her selection for the role came about after the filmmakers noticed her compelling Facebook profile and subsequently invited her for an audition, which she successfully cleared. The film received widespread critical acclaim and achieved significant commercial success. Hegde’s portrayal of the character Aarya, the love interest of Shetty’s role, garnered praise from critics. Reviewers from publications such as The Times of India commended her performance, noting her ability to shine in crucial scenes. Similarly, The New Indian Express highlighted Hegde’s standout performance, stating that she stood out alongside the film’s main character, Karna.
In the same year, Hegde fulfilled a childhood dream by participating as a contestant on the reality television show “MTV Roadies.”
In October 2018, Hegde entered the eleventh season of MTV’s “Splitsvilla” as a wild card entrant and emerged as the Runner-up.
In 2019, Hegde made her debut in the Tamil film industry with “Comali,” starring opposite Jayam Ravi and Kajal Agarwal. Despite having a minimal role in the film, her portrayal of Nikitha was well-received by audiences. Notably, Hegde went the extra mile by learning the Tamil language for the role and even dubbed her lines herself.
