Actor and director Rahul Ravindran, renowned for his work on the National Award-winning films “Chi La Sow” and “Manmadhudu 2,” has embarked on his third directorial venture titled “The Girlfriend.”
The much-anticipated female-led project was officially announced recently, featuring the talented Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role. The film, a collaborative effort by Geetha Arts, Mass Movie Makers, and Dheeraj Entertainment, marked its commencement with a Pooja ceremony.
The launch event saw the presence of several prominent directors, including Sai Rajesh, the filmmaker behind “Baby,” Pavan Sadineni, known for directing the Daya Web Series and Senapathi, Karuna Kumar, who is set to direct Varun Tej’s “Matka” soon, and Maruthi, currently directing Prabhas in a horror comedy. The script for “The Girlfriend” was formally handed over to Rahul Ravindran by veteran producer Allu Aravind, who also clapped for the board, marking the initiation of this exciting project.
