Neetu Chandra recalled her bitter experience when a big businessman offered her to be his salaried wife. She also revealed that the businessman had offered to pay Rs 25 lakhs to become a salaried wife.
In an interview , she said, “Mine is a successful actor’s failure story. I played the heroine opposite 13 national award-winning actors. I acted in many big movies. So, I have no work today. A big businessman offered me money and at that time I had no money and no work. Even after acting in so many good films, I feel that I am unnecessarily here.”
She recounted how she was offered Rs.25 lakhs to marry a businessman and become his “salaried wife”.
In 2005, Neetu was introduced as a heroine in the movie ‘Garam Masala’. After that, she acted in films like Traffic Signal, One Two Three, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Apartment 13B. Moreover, she also acted in many albums.
She was last seen in the movie ‘Kuch Love Jaisa’ starring Shefali Shah, Rahul Bose and Sumeet Raghavan. Her film Oye Lucky Lucky Oye won the National Award for best popular film. Her other film ‘Mithila Makhan’ also won the National Award.
