Karan Johar with much fanfare announced a chubby masala entertainer ‘Mr Lele’ featuring Varun Dhawan, Jhanvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. But this film, which was already postponed due to other reasons, was so shadowed by the corona and lockdown that the first cast was changed and now according to the latest update, the name of the film has also been changed to ‘Govinda Naam Mera’.
Let me tell you, some time back it was updated that there has been a big change in the cast of ‘Mr Lele’ and Varun Dhawan will be replaced by ‘Uri’ star Vicky Kaushal as lead in this film. Kiara was cast in place of Jhanvi in the female lead.
Bhumi Pednekar, who was earlier also a part of the film, had also parted ways with ‘Mr Lele’, though later she rejoined the film. Kia Advani took to her Twitter on Friday morning to share the first look of the three actors and the new name of the film. Sharing Vicky’s poster, Kiara wrote, “Aaj Kal and I have discussions on every tongue. Not everyone knows, but you can come to know in cinemas on 10th June 2022”.
The name of the character of Vicky is Govinda Waghmare. On the other hand, Bhumi’s role is of Mrs. Waghmare and along with her poster, Kiara wrote, “There is no peace when she is around”. Exactly the tadka that this story needs, I am here to spice things up!” Her character’s name is not on the poster of Kiara, but she has been described as ‘Govinda’s naughty girlfriend’.
‘Govinda Naam Mera’ is being directed by Shashank Khaitan who has made films like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. The characters of all the three actors look very colorful and funny. Now it will be known only on June 10, 2022 that how much power is in Karan Johar’s new production.
