Bollywood veteran actor Salim Ghouse passed away at the age of 70- RIP

Salim Ghouse breathed his last earlier today. Salim, 70 suffered a cardiac arrest and his last rites were performed early this morning. The news was confirmed by Salim’s wife Anita who revealed that he complained of chest pain on Wednesday night and passed away on Thursday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Anita, who is a theatre artist said, “We took him to Kokilaben Hospital last night, and he passed away this morning. He hated grieving and wanted life to go on. He didn’t suffer, he wouldn’t have liked being dependent on anyone. He was a man with a lot of self-respect. He was a multifaceted actor, a martial artist, an actor, a director and a lovely chef in the kitchen.”

It was with Doordarshan’s TV show Subah that allowed Salim to become a household name. He also went on to star in Shyam Benegal’s popular TV series Bharat Ek Khoj where he essayed the role of Rama, Krishna and Tipu Sultan.

Salim was also a well-known dubbing artist and has been a part of international projects like The Lion King and 300. He gave voice to Scar in Hindi and King Leonidas in 300.
