Ajay who impressed the audience with his power-packed performance in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, bagged the award for Best Actor at the awards ceremony.
Tanhaji, which was released in January 2020, also won the Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment and Best Costume Design at the 68th National Awards. The period drama shined at the awards ceremony, claiming a total of three awards.
Kajol, who played the role of Savitri Bai in the flick, is on cloud nine as her husband became a three-time National Film Award winner. Expressing her excitement on social media, the actress shared a post and said that she was ‘happy and proud’.
