90s pop sensation singer Tarasame Singh Saini aka Taz of Stereo nation passes away- RIP

90s pop sensation, Tarsame Singh Saini who went by the moniker Taz of Stereo Nation, died on April 29 following a coma recovery. Taz was the lead singer of the pop band Stereo Nation, which was founded in 1996 and is considered as a pioneer of cross-cultural Asian fusion music.

Tarsame Singh Saini was a British artist of Indian descent. Interestingly, before going by the moniker Tae he was known as Johny Zee. The musician’s Asian heritage had a major impact on the generation of the 1990s.

The family has earlier disclosed in a statement that it has been recovering and is out of coma. The statement reads, “Taz Sir is no longer in coma, He’s showing improvements every day. The family has thanked everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. When there is more postive news, The family will let us all know. Thanks again for your postive thoughts”.

Taz also contributed to the music of Bollywood films. He had songs like “Daroo Vich Pyar” (Tum Bin), “It’s magic” (Koi Mill Gaya), and ” Mujhpe To Jadoo” (Race) among others to his credit.
